KUEKA , cuando las piedras hablan

Overview
The film recounts the extraction of the Kueka stone from Venezuelan territory, an emblematic stone for the Pemón people of the Gran Sabana. The event occurred when the power lines began to be laid in Santa Cruz de Mapaurí and the Santa Elena de Guairen highway was being built, which connected the Venezuelan territory with Brazil. All this maelstrom of "development" led to the mobilization of indigenous people for the defense of their territory, which resulted in the removal of the stone: Grandma Kueka, as she is known by the Pemón culture.
