He could march his men over 100 miles in a day to recapture a town from the Germans. "Attack, attack and attack again" was his motto. He predicted a spectacular death for himself, but sadly, he died from injuries suffered from an auto accident. MacArthur - He had a spirit of intense determination. When he left the Philippines he promised he would return, rescuing every prisoner in Manila. Toward the end of his military career he said, "That old soldiers never die, they just fade away". Eisenhower - A graduate of West Point, He was Chief of Staff of the 3rd Army and became 34th President of the U.S.
