Fiesta de los Compadres: Chacayán

Overview

The festival in honor of Tayta Compadres, also known as the festival of singles, is a tribute to the patron saints of the neighborhoods of the capital of the districts of Vilcabamba, Tápuc, Chacayán, and Goyllarisquizga. It features the compadres dance, accompanied by music and traditional songs, masses, processions, and rituals in honor of the crosses, accompanied by a series of invitations for food and drink.
