Carpe Diem is a 7-minute film that follows a young family through the rhythm of an ordinary day. Without words, it lingers on small moments. A laugh, a glance, a pause. Beneath the stillness lies a quiet revelation: how many mundane moments go unnoticed, how easily a day slips by, and how the sweetness of a dull day, if missed, keeps every day dull and belittled. As the day winds down and night falls, the child breaks the fourth wall of adult ignorance. Their gaze captures the unseen beauty in others, reminding us that we, too, are being witnessed. We, too, are part of the day’s plan to be seen and cherished. Carpe Diem is a tad more than a home video, but just enough. It’s a gentle call to attention.
