Inspired by the thesis "De Burra Preta a Raimundo: Itinerário de uma história soterrada" (From Burra Preta to Raimundo: Itinerary of a buried history) by sociologist Lucas Vidal, the video performance Itinerário de uma história soterrada (Itinerary of a buried history) (2023) evokes the memory of Raimundo Preta, also known as Burra Preta, remembered through the narratives of various people who worked, lived or just passed through Praça do Ferreira, in the municipality of Fortaleza, between the 70s and 80s. Her story highlights the colonial vision of the means of producing history about black bodies, as well as the subjective mechanisms of naturalizing racism. The action's provocation emphasizes the urgency of treating the memories of Fortaleza's black ancestry with dignity.
